Berry Sauce/Syrup

A great replacement for maple syrup or topping for pizza and meat.

Ingredients

2 cups
frozen berries (mixed, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries)
2 tablespoons
water
1 teaspoon
ground spices (cloves, allspice, cinnamon)
1 teaspoon
arrowroot (optional)

Instructions

Place the berries, water and spices in a saucepan. Warm, covered over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat when bubbling.

Dissolve arrowroot in an equal amount of cold water and stir into pan to thicken.

Can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week or frozen.
