Just Start Cooking! at the Terra Learning Kitchen, Princeton

Date: Wednesday, February 4, 2015 - 6:00PM to 8:00PM

This is a new collaboration of Suppers and the Terra Learning Kitchen (TLK) at the Princeton YM/YWCA to teach basic cooking techniques and seasonal food preparation. This is not a Suppers meeting but rather demonstrations and skills instructions. We will use virtually all whole food ingredients with no gluten or sugar. Local cooking enthusiasts will lead these gatherings, and the whole point is to help people just start cooking! 

We have so many great activities planned: Ethnic food preparation, knife skills, techniques for preparing seasonal foods, gluten-free baking, flavor balancing delicious dressings and sauces, fermenting and raw food preparation, for starters. A meal will follow the demos, instruction and cooking, and participants who remember to bring jars can take home leftovers (if any!).

Topic for February 4: Simple and savory soups from scratch, pressure cooker broth making (led by Dor). PLEASE REGISTER BELOW!

The classes will run most Wednesday nights from 6-8pm (or whenever we all finish clean up). The standard cost will be $17 per person, payable in cash or check to Suppers. The price may change when we get expensive ingredients like grass-fed meats or salmon.
