Karen's Tuesday Dinner for Diabetes Success, Princeton (monthly) (DM001)

This meeting is for people with diabetes, both type 1 and type 2 as well as pre-diabetes. We welcome people who manage their diabetes with insulin, pills, or solely diet and lifestyle. Together, we prepare delicious food that is very low in carbohydrates. The emphasis is on food preparation and lifestyle changes that lead to more successful management of diabetes. A typical meal will include a lot of low carbohydrate and high fiber vegetables, 4-5 ounces of animal or fish based protein, no grains and very limited fruit, beans or anything that raises the carb count. Our approach is similar to the Paleo Diet but much less use of fruit and sweeteners. Yes, it is possible to eat this way and enjoy delicious food!

Every 1st Tuesday, 6:00 to 8:00pm

Menu: Omnivore. Not appropriate for vegetarians, but please inquire.
