Snap off the tough end of the asparagus. Spread the asparagus out in a single layer in 1 or 2 baking dishes. Drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes. In a small saucepan melt the butter (or heat the olive oil) and stir in the tamari and vinegar. Arrange the asparagus on the serving plate, drizzle with the dressing and sprinkle with crumbled egg.
