3avocados (pitted and peeled)
1⁄2 cupcocoa powder (unsweetened)
3 tablespoonsmaple syrup
2 teaspoonsvanilla extract
2 teaspoonsfresh lemon juice
1 cupdates (pitted, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes and drained. Reserve some water.)
1 teaspooncinnamon (optional)
1 teaspooninstant coffee or espresso powder (optional)
1⁄4 teaspooncayenne pepper (optional)
Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Blend until smooth, adding water (from the soaked dates) 1 tablespoon at a time for consistency.
Flavor balance by adjusting salt, lemon and maple syrup and optional flavorings.
