Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Ingredients

avocados (pitted and peeled)
1⁄2 cup
cocoa powder (unsweetened)
3 tablespoons
maple syrup
1⁄2 teaspoon
salt
2 teaspoons
vanilla extract
2 teaspoons
fresh lemon juice
1⁄2
banana
1 cup
dates (pitted, soaked in warm water for 10 minutes and drained. Reserve some water.)
1 teaspoon
cinnamon (optional)
1 teaspoon
instant coffee or espresso powder (optional)
1⁄4 teaspoon
cayenne pepper (optional)

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a food processor. Blend until smooth, adding water (from the soaked dates) 1 tablespoon at a time for consistency.

Flavor balance by adjusting salt, lemon and maple syrup and optional flavorings.
