Fudgy Maple Black Bean Brownies

Sometimes you simply need a treat! These devilishly delicious brownies have no additives, preservatives, gluten, dairy, or refined sugar. But the best part is, you'd never know it! Plus they pack a protein punch with the black beans!

Ingredients

 
(15 oz) can black beans (drained and rinsed)
3
eggs
1⁄3 cup
coconut oil or butter (melted)
1⁄4 cup
raw cacao powder or cocoa butter
1⁄8 teaspoon
sea salt
1 teaspoon
pure vanilla extract (gluten-free)
1⁄4 cup
pure maple syrup
1⁄3 cup
gluten-free, dairy-free chocolate (optional, chips or chunks)
1⁄3 cup
chopped raw walnuts

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8x8" baking pan with coconut oil or butter.

Place beans, eggs, coconut oil, cacao powder, salt, vanilla, and maple syrup in food processor and blend until smooth. Remove the blade and gently stir in chocolate chips and walnuts. 

Transfer mixture to prepared pan. Bake for 35 mins, or until brownies are set in the center and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely. Cut into 9 squares.
